1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Slightly above average height with a rather densely muscled body, befitting an athlete and practical martial arts dude. Of course I can't neglect to mention his thighs bestowed upon him by Adonis, as if sculpted with the loving care and precision of Michelangelo to support the very ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
2. How old is he?
Currently 17 in AP, although his first iteration was 33 lmao
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
He's got a "heavy" posture in that every one of his steps are well placed and balanced. He tries to carry himself with meaning so nobody notices he actually has no fucking clue how anything works at all, at any given time.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?

Youngjin is pretty conscious in being peak condition as being a meat shield is really all he's good for haha
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Heavily, and deliberately. That isn't to say he's lumbering, as he's pretty dexterous, but you can tell he's been trained to move efficiently.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
More rugged than handsome, and while he takes pride in taking care of his appearance like every other metrosexual Korean dude, he also knows he does it partly to compensate for his lack of natural charm. Unfortunately, Youngjin also tends to forget he really does have resting bitch face.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Pretty dark, and being constantly outdoors helps the tan.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
The kind of hair you'd describe as cactus-y and sharp in all directions. When he grows it out it's surprisingly soft and full!

Dark brown, with a few golden flecks. His eyes grow lighter with age until it turns sandy.

Besides his thundering thighs and tree trunk ankles that could smash two, no, three watermelons just by flexing? No.

If he could, he'd follow every god dang fashion trend possible but he has neither the sense nor money. Usually goes for athleisure or slightly punk-y street chic. Colors are all quite neutral with an occasional splash of bright color if Trendy. In modern AUs he's that asian boy who dresses like a discount rapper who dresses for street cred. im sorry

On the job he'd try his darndest best to wear it nicely. Otherwise, he accepts that sometimes a dirty job is a dirty job and keeps the wardrobe separate.

Boxer-briefs. Gotta keep the boys snug and comfortable
Speech:
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Surprisingly deep, but that just adds to his thuggish aura so he tries to make it a bit higher and mellower. Not sure if it works though
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
Loud and fast, like any proper lad
Much of his talk is idle and empty though, just to keep a conversation going. Among friends he's more comfortable with, he's slower to talk and much more level.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
His English is pretty rough and has an Estuary bite. His Korean has a thick Gyeongsang accent as he's from Busan but he can switch to standard if need be. Prone to run-on sentences and hyperbole for effect.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
First language is Korean, and he can speak English like the best boys on the streets of London but he can't write or read quite as well.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
Only if he knows the other person can speak Korean. Otherwise, he can make his speech much more formal in either language when in front of a teacher or elder.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
Oh hell naw. He's a good conversationalist but the last person you want giving a speech.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Pretty articulate all things considered, but definitely not eloquent considering his lack of literary knowledge.
Mental and Emotional:
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
Definitely more street-smart. He's also got a pretty tactical mind and works best in groups.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
He's at his best under heavy fire and pressure. The more he deliberates on something the more hesitant he becomes so he usually jumps into something and then figure out wtf to do.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
99% Instinct and practicality. Other people can do the thinking for him; he just needs the way pointed out.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
All his education is military and under the assumption he'd go to school to be a commissioned officer of the Navy. Not like that happened but lol
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
Any job requiring a lot of muscle, he's the guy for. Nowadays, he's trying to master trick shooting in footy and fixing radios.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
An extrovert. watch out introverts he's gonna piss in your cheerios and kick footballs into your books

Easily excitable, and just as easily upset.

He really loves meeting new people and having new experiences. That being said, he will be a tad overly suspicious of shady people regardless of their actual intent. no chill

Both at the same time. Although usually his acts are rash and poorly thought out so it's usually him acting and then reacting to whatever mess he created.
10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
Fight until you have to fly. And sometimes, even then he'll keep on fighting!

All of the above. He has the sense of humor of a child.

Nope. hes my healthy neurotypical boy surprise

Probably not really 'moments' but it probably affected how he can be a real hard-ass sometimes when he realized his mother abandoned the country for her own survival and how not everything in the world is necessarily fair.

At this age, it would be his loved ones completely forgetting about him. don't you love teen social lives!
15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
To be useful and to be loved.
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
He's a terrible, miserable softie who cares way too much about everyone.
Relationships:
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
His mother being a socialite, he found it very hard to reconciliate his own strong morals with her constant white lying and manipulation to save her own skin and to amass influence. He also knows that to get on a similar social level, he'd have to do so the same thing so he tries to avoid being associated strongly with her. Nonetheless, they're close as his mother is the closest thing to stability in his life.
His father is slightly deadbeat and irresponsible as he constantly changes vocations and hobbies on whim. There's no stability to be found here. There's also the mild disappointment that even while he married up, he's done nothing to 'deserve' his new status, in Youngjin's opinion. Still, his father taught him how to fish and fix things, how to enjoy baseball and soccer, and other such dad-ly stuff. That has to count for something.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
He has a younger sister he cherishes deeply and is very protective over. Unfortunately, Sujin finds him embarrassing and overbearing and also avoids him.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
He's got quite a few cousins on both sides that are much more talented than he is (or so he was told...)
Thankfully outside of Chuseok or Lunar New Year, he doesn't really have to see them.thats also me

It's not exactly chivalry, but he has a very tight code of honor and righteousness that's only worsened (?) by his military background. It'd take a lot for him to compromise on it, say threats to his family/friends.

Quite antagonistic, actually. He understands everyone has different standards of honor, but someone entirely lacking a system (or appearing to be that way to him) might as well be dead to him.

She's also in general bad health due to her history of well, you know, having her house being burnt down and her suffering through near asphyxiation and third-degree burns
Has Reynaud's disease on her right hand so basically it's constantly blue even when it's cold. Her right eye has cataracts and is general burnt. Although currently, even her eyeball is mostly useless tissue because it was burnt off a second time.

Imperiously is one way to put. Her quick, precise steps demands attention and has a rather heavy presence despite being mostly antipathetic at best.

She has a smooth, rich voice that would be nearly seductive if not for her grandiose speech patterns.

Evenly, almost scarily so. Every one of her syllables are exacting and precise.

Received pronunciation, although this is a learned and affected accent for academic use. Her natural accent(if she ever acts natural) would be a little too uncomfortably Scottish for her tastes probably. Also her verbal tic is just her cadence and diction in general-- it's very excessively formal and wordy.

She's fluent in English and Italian, and even her Italian is pretentious as shit as she's Florentine.

Very rarely, although she does have a habit of giving people close to her bad Italian pet names.

The only time she'd falter is when her thoughts are interrupted by another thought or action. Otherwise, even in distress, she'll insist on using six words in place of one.

She's a maths genius and well-read on other scientific fields, however, unlike some nerds, she's also highly socially manipulative when she wants to be and is not above using local "resources" to get what she wants.

While her processing time is rather quick, Lavien is prone to waiting or investigating for quicker, less tedious methods.

Her intuition is crapshoot and surprisingly, if one can appeal to her esoteric ideals, she'll relent.

Ideally, she'd have a PhD of some sorts but Lavien believes pure knowledge is beyond the confines of institutional designations of intelligence and research so uh
Most likely, she's like every other historical eccentric mathematician and is patronized by institutions but does not actively work to receive honors or accolades from them.

Math, and by extension coding and statistics. She's in tireless pursuit in discovering equivalencies of arcane and corporeal magic.

An extrovert, although the habits and attitudes of introversion tends to help research better.

Lavien would love to be perceived as a neutral party but her fervor gets the better of her. She's mostly "cheerful" if you can call it that and it's obvious that pure ambition fuels her every action.

Despite her avant-garde ideas, she's ironically stuck in her ways in regards to new situations or people. Very few things will move her to action as she will only pursue and engage if she personally finds a situation or person interesting.

React. She's judging everyone and everything constantly.

Flight. Unless you manage to piss her off (which actually isn't too hard) then she will fight.

She holds very few things dearly but she would, even irrationally, fight for them to the end.
Relationships:

The meat of her research comes from her mother, who was also a mathematician, and her influence was probably the greatest on Lavien. Her mother truly believed that a mind was a terrible thing to waste and that if research revealed unsettling truths, then it would be a disservice to oneself and the world to turn away just because it didn't match expectations. Lavien took this to the extreme.
Her father was a chemist and hobby astronomer and taught her how to observe, measure, and calculate. Thankfully, he was the one person with a sense of humor in the family and managed to bring some bit of humanity into the household. That was quickly lost in the house fire, unfortunately.

See above. They both grew up as 'charity cases' in Concordia and were both fire mage orphans so it was only natural they clicked immediately.

'Friends' is probably the wrong word but she seeing as Lamont and Niles are the grad students she sees the most, they're also the few people she would "trust" in the sense she's seen their work ethic and attitude and would reliably predict how they would fare in a situation.

She is pure objectivism and a little about anarcho-captalist as well. Lavien genuinely wishes for a technocratic government that's very hands-off-- as in, is ok with human experimentation hands-off,

Lavien usually perceives anyone mostly content with the system as stupid sheeple who have been misled to think of nothing better. However, she also believes that it won't take much for people to 'wake up' to the harsh reality of the world.

Lavien has never trusted, and will never trust, entities. She's civil, especially when they're scientific oddities, but otherwise she genuinely believes that entities all have ulterior motives.

Comfortable, but realistically at the mercy of Concordia as she has no other source of income or housing or any system of support outside the school due to being an orphan. Only her research gives her anything.

Originally, she was part of Florentine intelligentsia due to be the daughter of two well-known scientists and wartime codebreakers, but after their death she is nothing beyond a researcher with no title or prestige to claim anymore.

Lavien took this to the extreme.
